There are many different types of lesbians.
- The first type is almost indiscernible to the common eye. She is the femme lesbian. Just like any other woman, she displays feminine characteristics.
- The second type is the complete opposite of the first. The butch lesbian have masculine characteristics that can be displayed in her dress and attitude. Butch lesbians are also known as studs.
- In between the femme and the stud is the stem or femme aggressive. Stems carry masculine attitudes, but are discerned as feminine women.
Relationships
The dynamic of lesbian relationships vary from couple to couple. Some believe that one of the women must act as "man" in the relationship, meaning in the traditional sense, she will hold more power and more control. Most butch-femme relationships and stem-femme relationships behave in this manner. Others prefer not to imitate the traditional male-female relationship and they create their own dynamics.Books,Television & Movies
